Our office is a small, client-centered workplace where each team member helps create a calm, welcoming environment for people navigating important and often stressful life issues. Role Description The Legal Assistant is a full-time, on-site role supporting the attorney and assisting with the day-to-day operation of the office. Responsibilities include preparing legal documents and correspondence, communicating with clients in English and Spanish by phone, email, and in person, maintaining client and legal files, scheduling appointments and managing the calendar, assisting with client intake, answering phones and general inquiries, and providing administrative support as needed. The Legal Assistant will also handle confidential client and case information with professionalism and discretion. Qualifications Prior experience in a law office or professional office setting. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong attention to document accuracy and formatting, with the ability to follow established office standards and procedures. Legal assistant, legal secretary, paralegal, document processing, or related background preferred.
Requirements Bilingual:
fluent in English and Spanish (required). Minimum 1 year of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in family law. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software. Discretion with confidential client information.
