Assistant — Full-Time The Law Offices of Adam V. Nguyen is seeking a motivated, dependable, and personable Full-Time Receptionist / Legal Assistant to work directly under the guidance of Adam V. Nguyen, Esq. We are looking for someone who is organized, professional, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in the legal field. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced law office while working closely with an attorney and supporting a variety of legal matters. What You'll Do As a Receptionist / Legal Assistant, your responsibilities may include: Provide administrative and legal support to the attorney and assist with the overall efficiency of the office. Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls in a professional manner. Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, opposing parties, and other individuals. Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, and monitor important deadlines. Maintain and organize client files, records, and contact information. Prepare, type, format, and file basic legal documents and correspondence. Assist with preparing case materials, case briefs, and other legal documents. Review and summarize depositions, interrogatories, testimony, and other case-related materials. Conduct legal, factual, statistical, and documentary research as directed. Assist with investigations and locating relevant case information. Provide administrative support before, during, and after trials and hearings, including attending proceedings when required. Assist with organizing exhibits, documents, and other trial materials. Manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Perform general administrative and office-support duties as needed. What You Bring Strong interest in the legal profession and a desire to learn. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy. Ability to handle confidential information professionally and responsibly. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, attorneys, coworkers, and others. Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint . Ability and willingness to learn new software and office procedures. A creative, entrepreneurial, and solution-oriented mindset. A positive, professional, and "can-do" attitude . Vietnamese is preferred. Prior legal office experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
