Personal Injury Paralegal

Description We are looking for a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Centennial, CO on a contract-to-hire basis (long term candidates only please). In this role, you will provide essential support for civil litigation cases, focusing on discovery, trial preparation, and case management. This position requires someone who is detail oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is adept at managing a high-volume caseload.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a litigation (and pre-litigation) docket of approximately ~80+ cases, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are prioritized efficiently.
• Draft and file key legal documents such as complaints, disclosures, discovery requests, motions, subpoenas, and trial-related filings.
• Coordinate discovery processes, including scheduling depositions, summarizing medical records, and liaising with expert witnesses.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files using case management software like Filevine.
• Communicate effectively with opposing counsel, court personnel, mediators, and medical providers.
• Prepare comprehensive trial materials, including witness lists, exhibit lists, jury instructions, and trial notebooks.
• Provide logistical support during trials, including technology setup, exhibit management, and in-court assistance.
• Organize and manage litigation calendars to track deadlines and key milestones.
• Assist attorneys with strategic case planning and special projects.
• Participate in firm marketing initiatives, contributing to content creation and social media updates as required. Requirements
• Minimum of 3-5+ years of litigation experience in personal injury cases, such as auto accidents, bad faith, premises liability, and wrongful death claims.
• Proficiency in using case management tools like Filevine and LawToolBox or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure and their application in litigation.
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and legal professionals effectively.
• Experience in trial preparation and providing in-court support during proceedings.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously and find solutions proactively.
• Detail-oriented demeanor and empathetic approach suited to a client-centered environment.
