Job Description

Business Law Group seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support the chair of its business/civil litigation team. The work is sophisticated and challenging, but we remain an easy-going group of attorneys and staff. We value each person in the firm equally, and strive to create and maintain a healthy and enjoyable work culture and a good work-life balance. You should have great attention to detail and be able to see the broad picture of a civil litigation practice. You will be working closely with the chair of our litigation team and possibly one or more attorneys, and should enjoy collaboration and being part of a cohesive team. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Duties:
Assist in preparing and drafting legal documents, including petitions, responses, and motions Manage discovery Assist with legal case management Assist with tracking and calendaring deadlines Prepare binders for hearings and trials Manage and organize legal files and documents Handle data entry tasks accurately and efficiently Maintain confidentiality in all client and case-related matters Answer phone calls, take messages, and redirect inquiries when necessary Utilize strong writing skills for drafting memos, emails, and reports Assist in project management tasks as needed Save emails, scanning documents, and completing other general office tasks Assist in various overflow tasks as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Litigation Paralegal; business or civil law experience is preferred Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation Careful attention to detail Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Proficiency in file management and recordkeeping Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and able to adapt to client management software (Clio)
