Commensurate with experience About Us James F. Aspell, P.C. is a busy, established workers' compensation practice serving injured workers across Connecticut. We're a close-knit, collegial team that takes pride in how we treat our clients and each other. This is a specialized hire. We're looking for an experienced paralegal who knows Filevine inside and out, and we're willing to take our time to find the right person. The Role This is a client-facing position. You'll be a primary point of contact for injured workers and their families, guiding them through the claims process from intake to resolution. You'll also play a key role in helping our firm get more out of Filevine by improving workflows, building templates, and sharing your expertise with the team. Responsibilities Maintain frequent, compassionate contact with clients by phone, email, and in person Manage a caseload of 125-150 workers' compensation files from intake through resolution Request, organize, and review medical records, bills, and wage documentation Prepare forms, correspondence, and filings with the Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission Attend informal workers' compensation hearings at district offices across the state Track deadlines, hearings, and case milestones Coordinate with insurers, adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel Support attorneys in preparing for formal hearings Help optimize our Filevine setup, including workflows, task automation, templates, and reporting Qualifications 2+ years of paralegal experience in workers' compensation or personal injury (Connecticut experience strongly preferred) Advanced, hands-on proficiency with Filevine (required)
