Full Job Description Job Description:
The law firm of RisCassi & Davis, P.C., is a well-known and well-established plaintiff's personal injury firm located in West Hartford, Connecticut. Join our team as a litigation paralegal and play an integral role in supporting our attorneys through all phases of litigation. As a litigation paralegal, you will manage case files, prepare and finalize discovery, participate in trial preparation, coordinate and prepare filings in both state and federal courts. You will also communicate with clients, attorneys, medical providers and insurance adjusters. You will obtain, organize, and summarize medical records and bills. You will support the attorneys in settlement efforts, including by obtaining liens and sending out settlement packages.
Skills and Qualifications:
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail. You must be well organized and have superior time management skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a detailed-oriented individual who takes initiative and is committed to delivering high-quality legal work. Associate's degree in paralegal studies or prior personal injury litigation experience is preferred.
Benefits:
This position offers a completive salary between $60,000-$70,000, based on experience. In addition, we offer paid time off, sick time, holiday time off. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance and vision insurance. You will become eligible to participate in a 401k retirement plan after your first year of employment.
