This position offers the opportunity to work closely with outstanding lawyers on complex medical malpractice matters and play a key role in case preparation, litigation support, and trial readiness. The ideal candidate will have experience organizing, reviewing, or summarizing medical records in a legal or healthcare setting. Candidates with experience reviewing medical records, supporting healthcare-related litigation, or working in a healthcare setting are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience in medical malpractice or personal injury litigation is preferred, but candidates with healthcare or medical record review experience who are interested in transitioning into litigation support will also be considered. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in West Hartford, CT , for a Medical Malpractice Paralegal . The paralegal will assist attorneys with case development, medical record analysis, and litigation support throughout the life of the case. General Duties and Responsibilities Obtaining, organizing, and summarizing medical records Preparing subpoenas for records and depositions Assisting with discovery and litigation support Coordinating with medical experts Maintaining organized case files and document management systems Supporting attorneys with trial preparation Assisting with administrative or clerical tasks as needed to support the litigation team Trial Assistance Abstracting/summarizing medical records Research, contact and retain various medical experts Qualifications 2 - 5 years of litigation paralegal experience preferred Experience reviewing or summarizing medical records strongly preferred Strong writing, research, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Familiarity with electronic document systems (NetDocuments preferred) Familiarity with E-filing (state, federal and appellate courts) Proficient in legal research software
