Job Description

Join the in-house legal team supporting a dynamic, well-established e-commerce company in the health and wellness sector located in Newark, DE. We are seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to provide substantive support to the legal team, with a primary focus on litigation, investigations, discovery, and other complex legal matters. This position will work closely with in-house counsel, outside counsel, and internal business teams and requires a high degree of independence, judgment, organization, and attention to detail. Primary Responsibilities Provide substantive paralegal support throughout all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation through discovery, trial preparation, settlement, and post-resolution matters; Coordinate and support all aspects of discovery, including document identification, collection, organization, review, production, privilege review, and e-discovery; Assist attorneys with preparing for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial, including development and organization of exhibits, chronologies, witness materials, and other litigation documents; Conduct substantive legal and factual research using online databases, public records, social media, and other sources relevant to litigation, investigations, and other legal matters; Collect, analyze, organize, and maintain large volumes of information and documentation relevant to litigation and legal investigations; Draft, prepare, proofread, and revise legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, declarations, agreements, and other legal materials; Work directly with internal clients and outside counsel to gather information, coordinate discovery and other litigation-related matters, and manage deadlines; Maintain comprehensive and well-organized litigation files, including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, evidence, and other case-related materials; Develop and maintain systems for tracking litigation matters, deadlines, discovery, document requests, and other case information; Assist with managing the legal department's agreements database and other legal department systems; Support attorneys with legal research, factual investigations, document review, and preparation for meetings and proceedings; Assist with identifying, implementing, and improving technology and processes that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal function; and Perform other substantive legal and litigation-related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred; At least 5 years of substantive paralegal experience, with significant experience supporting litigation matters; Experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department, preferably in a litigation-focused role; Demonstrated experience supporting litigation through discovery and trial preparation; Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery processes, document management, and e-discovery; Ability to independently manage multiple complex matters, prioritize competing deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment; Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of information and documentation; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to identify relevant information and anticipate the needs of attorneys; Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, outside counsel, internal business partners, and other stakeholders; Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with e-discovery, legal research, document management, and other legal technology platforms; Comfortable using AI tools, online research resources, and social media platforms for legal research and factual investigations; Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment regarding priorities, deadlines, and confidentiality; and Experience with trademarks, intellectual property, and/or other areas of commercial litigation is a plus.
Pay:
$61,655.94 - $74,252.32 per year
