This position requires hands-on experience in removal defense and immigration court motion drafting, as well as USCIS family-based and humanitarian applications.

Location:

561 S Duncan Ave, Clearwater, FL 33756. This is an in-person position. We welcome applicants throughout Florida who can reliably commute to the office or relocate before starting.

Schedule:

Full-time preferred; part-time may be considered for a qualified candidate.

Pay:

$28-$35 per hour, depending on relevant experience and demonstrated drafting skills.

Benefits:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Draft immigration court motions, notices, supporting declarations, exhibit lists, and other removal-defense filings for attorney review. Assist with hearing preparation, organize supporting evidence, and maintain complete and accurate court files. Prepare USCIS family-based petitions and applications, including supporting documentation and responses to requests for evidence, under attorney supervision. Assist with humanitarian immigration applications, including asylum and other applicable forms of relief, under attorney supervision. Track court dates, filing deadlines, USCIS notices, and case progress; help ensure timely and accurate submissions. Communicate with clients in English and Brazilian Portuguese to gather information, request documents, and provide attorney-approved case updates. Review forms and supporting records for accuracy, consistency, and completeness while protecting client confidentiality.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior hands-on experience working as an immigration paralegal, including removal defense and immigration court filings. Demonstrated experience drafting immigration court motions and organizing supporting evidence for attorney review. Experience preparing USCIS family-based and humanitarian applications. Professional proficiency in spoken and written Brazilian Portuguese and English, with strong English legal drafting and proofreading skills. Familiarity with

filing procedures and USCIS case preparation workflows. Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines and sensitive client information. Ability to work in person at our Clearwater office.
