LEGAL ASSISTANT

!!! Fast growing firm is seeking a Full-Time experienced Legal Assistant. Candidates should have at least one year of Law Firm experience in mortgage uncontested foreclosure. We are seeking candidates who possess skills related to all phases of the foreclosure and bankruptcy process is a plus. Future career growth opportunity is available based on individual accomplishments displayed.Skills include:
- File review and set up and work closely with internal legal department on file level strategies
- Suit Document Preparation including but not limited to; Sworn Affidavits, Motions to court, Publication packages
- Calendar/Hearing Review/Setting Court Dates and Mediation
- local and Federal including Bankruptcy court
- Client communication and system updates
- Court Docket Review
- Uncontested and Foreclosure Fee Requests
- Maintain bankruptcy case records
- Aacer/Pacer docket review
- Monitor Process of Service to ensure service effectuated timely
- Prepare motions, POC's Affidavits and Notices
- Prepare Certified Mailing packages according to the courts guidelines
- Follow up with Clerks for case status, pending orders and canceling sale
- Process appeals conversions, case transfers and other issues
Requirements:
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Internet and Outlook
- Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize and understand deadlines
- Must be responsible, reliable, detail oriented and capable of working in a team environment.
- A plus to have experience with vendor platforms such as BKFS, Vendorscape, Equator and ResNet and Tempo
- Must have Foreclosure experience.
