The Deerfield Beach, FL location is seeking a full-time, detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Assistant to assist the attorneys with a variety of tasks for our NY/NJ team. This role requires excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Calendaring and preparing for court proceedings. Handling incoming legal mail. E-filing legal documents. Maintain litigation electronic databases including uploading key case documents and emails. Daily handling of assigned productions and confirming all action codes and status codes assigned are completed timely and accurately. Obtain information required to comply with requests for production of documents. Maintain key case deadlines within the firm's system of record. Prepare and process legal documents and business communications as needed. Desired skills and experience : 1-2 years of related legal assistant experience in a corporate or law firm environment is preferred. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrate an ability to successfully manage competing priorities, with experience creating systems to stay organized. JST system a plus. Organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be driven, ability to multitask and work independently and as a team.
