Compensation:
$70,000

Role:
Taft Law is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide proactive, high-level administrative support to attorneys and legal teams at the firm's Manhattan office.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive, high-level administrative support to attorneys and legal teams
  • Edit and proofread legal and administrative documents for accuracy and consistency
  • Manage CLE credit tracking, calendaring, expense reimbursements, and scheduling
  • Greet clients, coordinate meetings, and handle professional correspondence
  • File documents electronically with courts and maintain organized case files
  • Support billing processes by entering attorney time, preparing reports, and managing client inquiries
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on pending matters
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of legal assistant or legal administrative experience in a law firm required
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Familiarity with Kofax/Nuance, InTapp, LMS+, or iManage is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to outstanding client service
Pay:
From $70,000.00 per year
