We are looking for a self-motivated Legal Assistant/Receptionist to become a part of our team, ensure smooth running of the office, and effective case management. You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs. Please be advised this is an onsite position. Responsibilities Provide administrative support to attorneys and enhance office effectiveness Handle communication with clients, witnesses, adjusters, medical personnel, etc. Prepare case briefs and summarize depositions, interrogatories, and client testimony Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes Locate and develop relevant case information Acquiring records and documents from providers Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence to clients, adjusters, medical personnel, attorneys, etc. Answer and direct phone calls to the proper attorney and take messages as needed Record and store client information Organize and file mail Draft demand letters Open and close files Monitor deadlines and ensure important dates are calendared Skills Proven work experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal (Preferred) Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and the court system (Preferred) Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office (Preferred) Computer literacy (Required) Proficiency in English (Required) Excellent secretarial and organizational skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Required) Deadline and detail-oriented
