Job Description

About the Position We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, able to handle confidential information, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment. The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and staff while helping ensure that daily office operations run smoothly. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with daily administrative and legal tasks Prepare, organize, proofread, and file legal documents Maintain and organize client files and case records Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties Schedule appointments, meetings, hearings, and deadlines Manage calendars and assist with case deadlines Prepare correspondence, letters, and other documents Assist with filing documents with courts and government agencies Answer phones, timely respond to emails, and provide excellent customer service Maintain strict confidentiality of client and case information Perform general administrative duties as needed Qualifications Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Paralegal, or in a legal office preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and standard office software Professional and courteous demeanor Ability to work independently while also being a team player High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information Preferred Qualifications Experience with legal case management software Familiarity with court filing procedures Knowledge of legal terminology and documents Knowledge of family law What We're Looking For We want someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, communicates well, and genuinely cares about providing excellent support to both our legal team and our clients.
