We are looking for a litigation paralegal to support a plaintiff-side legal team handling nursing home neglect and abuse matters in Florida. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone with medical malpractice experience who can stay organized in a high-volume environment while managing case details with precision. The role offers hands-on involvement throughout the litigation lifecycle, from early case review through trial preparation and post-trial coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Support attorneys throughout all stages of litigation by coordinating case activity before, during, and after trial proceedings.
• Prepare and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and appellate materials in accordance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Conduct case research and assist with early matter evaluation by reviewing facts, identifying issues, and gathering supporting information.
• Manage litigation calendars, schedule depositions and hearings, and maintain well-organized case files and related logistics.
• Compile, track, and organize discovery materials, pleadings, exhibits, briefs, appendices, and evidentiary documents for attorney review and court use.
• Assist with drafting discovery content, including interrogatories and related responses, while helping attorneys monitor outstanding requests.
• Request and collect medical, legal, and other relevant records from outside sources to support case development.
• Contribute to settlement support activities, including lien-related follow-up and documentation coordination.
