Job Description

Job Overview The Paralegal - Welfare Case Management Services supports Child Welfare Case Managers (CWCM) by performing legal, administrative, and research tasks to ensure CWCM are prepared for legal proceedings. This role involves preparing legal documents, conducting case research, organizing files, and assisting with court proceedings preparation. This position plays a critical role in managing caseloads, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met. Duties Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information to assist CWCM and attorneys with legal proceedings, etc. Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, court orders, and correspondence for court proceedings Organize and maintain case files and documentation. Manage deadlines, coordinate court filings Assist Child Welfare Case Managers and attorneys with trail / court proceedings preparation, including assembling exhibits and coordinating witnesses Communicate with service recipients, court officials, and other parties as needed Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with legal procedures and regulations Work with FC Outreach, Inc's leadership team, to create effective plans in support of its CWCM mission. Other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in paralegal studies or similar degree. Certified as a Certified Legal Assistant through the National Association of Legal Assistants or become certified within one year of employment. Must be able to pass a clearance / background check or have an exemption to work with at risks populations. Pay:
$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
