Litigation Paralegal Join the Team at Baker & DiSalvo Baker & DiSalvo is a respected and growing Plaintiff Personal Injury law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation and outstanding client service. We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our St. Pete office. This position is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and enjoys working closely with attorneys to efficiently move cases from filing through trial. Position Summary As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play an integral role in supporting an assigned trial attorney throughout the litigation process. You will manage case files, monitor deadlines, coordinate case-related events, communicate with clients and third parties, prepare litigation documents, and assist with trial preparation. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, responsive, and able to independently manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and providing outstanding client service. Essential Responsibilities Support the assigned trial attorney from the filing of the complaint through trial. Independently manage and monitor assigned cases, including deadlines, tasks, case status, and required documentation. Proactively identify upcoming deadlines, missing information, and outstanding case needs and communicate them to the attorney. Investigate, gather, organize, and analyze information related to client matters. Review, summarize, and organize medical records, billing records, wage loss documentation, discovery, deposition transcripts, and other case materials. Draft and assist with the preparation, review, filing, and service of pleadings, motions, discovery, memoranda, correspondence, and other litigation documents. Prepare and manage written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admissions, and discovery responses. Review opposing-party discovery, identify deficiencies, and assist attorneys with discovery disputes and motions to compel. Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, expert evaluations, and other case-related events. Assist with deposition preparation, including organizing exhibits, reviewing relevant records, and preparing deposition materials. Assist with mediation preparation, including organizing case materials, exhibits, settlement documentation, and mediation summaries. Coordinate with expert witnesses, medical providers, clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other third parties as needed. Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files, litigation calendars, and case management system records. Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness materials, trial notebooks, subpoenas, deposition materials, and other trial-related documents. Assist with court filings, e-filing, e-service, and other litigation-related administrative requirements. Follow firm procedures, SOPs, and case-management protocols to ensure cases are handled consistently and efficiently. Perform additional litigation support duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in Plaintiff Personal Injury. Thorough understanding of Florida court procedures, Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, litigation deadlines, and filing requirements. Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, correspondence, and other litigation documents. Experience managing litigation cases from case inception through trial. Experience with discovery, depositions, mediations, expert coordination, and trial preparation. Familiarity with Florida state and/or federal court e-filing and e-service systems. Ability to independently manage a caseload and prioritize competing deadlines. Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software; Litify experience is a plus. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and team members. Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to client service.
