Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Intake to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing initial inquiries and supporting a wide range of legal functions across diverse practice areas. Your energetic approach will help streamline case intake processes, facilitate effective communication, and ensure the smooth operation of our legal support services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal support skills while contributing to impactful legal work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Greet clients and visitors professionally, conducting initial interviews to gather pertinent case information across various legal disciplines such as estate planning, family law, personal injury, and more Manage client intake procedures efficiently using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring accurate data entry and recordkeeping Assist with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools to support attorneys' case preparation Prepare and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports with precision, maintaining confidentiality at all times Organize and maintain case files, ensuring compliance with procedural law requirements and court deadlines Coordinate appointments, meetings, and court filings while providing executive administrative support as needed Support attorneys with project management tasks related to litigation, transactional work, or regulatory compliance in areas such as UCC law, tribal law & regulations, or securities law Experience Prior paralegal or legal support experience in a law office setting is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, patent law, workers' compensation law, civil litigation support, and general & commercial litigation Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis is essential Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills for client interaction via phone and written correspondence Familiarity with document review processes and legal case management systems like iManage or similar platforms Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Word processing, data entry, filing procedures and document management systems Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values energetic problem-solving and meticulous support.
