LHH is currently seeking an experienced Insurance Defense / Medical Malpractice Paralegal for a respected law firm in the Tampa area. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys handling complex litigation matters while playing a key role in case management and trial preparation. Responsibilities Support attorneys in all phases of insurance defense and medical malpractice litigation Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence Review, organize, and summarize medical records and other case-related documentation Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, expert witness schedules, and trial logistics Prepare chronologies, case summaries, and trial materials Manage litigation calendars and ensure compliance with court deadlines Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, medical providers, and court personnel Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in insurance defense, medical malpractice, or complex litigation Strong understanding of Florida state court procedures and litigation processes Experience handling and analyzing large volumes of medical records Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems Paralegal certificate or degree preferred Benefits Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution Paid time off and company holidays Life and disability insurance Employee assistance resources Career growth and professional development opportunities Join a collaborative legal team where your expertise and attention to detail will have a direct impact on successful case outcomes.
