Job Description

About the Firm Gomez Golomb Goerner & Springer LLP is a growing Georgia litigation boutique with offices in Atlanta and Eatonton. Our attorneys handle matters statewide in personal injury, criminal defense, real estate and title litigation, business disputes, estate administration and probate, and Open Records Act litigation. We are not a high-volume firm. We prepare every case carefully, communicate clearly with our clients, and treat every matter as if it is going to trial. Our continued growth has created an immediate need for a sharp, organized Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our team. The Role You will work directly with our partners across a varied, litigation-focused docket. Because our practice spans several areas, no two weeks look the same. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of deadlines, and wants to be a real part of a small, close-knit team rather than one of many in a large firm. Key Responsibilities Draft, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence under attorney supervision. E-file in Georgia superior, state, magistrate, and probate courts, as well as federal court via CM/ECF. Maintain attorney calendars and docket deadlines, including statutes of limitation and court-imposed dates. Assist with personal injury matters by gathering medical records and bills, organizing damages documentation, and preparing demand packages. Support real estate and title litigation, including pulling deed records, plats, and tax assessment records. Prepare probate filings and assist with estate administration matters. Draft and track Open Records Act requests and agency responses. Organize criminal discovery and assist with case preparation. Prepare exhibits, binders, and materials for trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations. Handle client intake, conflict checks, and professional communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel. Qualifications [2+] years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, with litigation experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with Georgia court procedures and e-filing systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software Clio Excellent writing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple practice areas. Commitment to strict client confidentiality. Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus. Willingness to occasionally support the Eatonton office or travel to courts around the state.- Mileage to be paid when needed Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary of 50,000 a year Paid time off and paid holidays Room to grow with a firm that is expanding How to Apply Please apply using indeed.
