Our client, a growing law firm in Augusta, Maine, is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters from case inception through trial and appeal. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigation professional who is highly organized, proactive, and enjoys working closely with attorneys while serving as a key resource for clients and case teams!
Responsibilities:
Manage litigation matters from intake through trial and appeal Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, settlements, trial materials, and appellate filings Coordinate discovery, including document review, eDiscovery, and production E-file documents in state and federal courts and monitor dockets and deadlines Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation\ Prepare exhibits, witness materials, trial notebooks, deposition summaries, and hearing materials Conduct legal/factual research and organize case records and evidence Serve as a key client contact and coordinate with attorneys, courts, experts, and opposing counsel Maintain case files, litigation schedules, attorney calendars, and billable time
Qualifications:
5+ years of litigation paralegal experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree and/or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate preferred, not required Knowledge of state and federal litigation procedures, court rules, and electronic filing systems Excellent legal drafting, research, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, document and case management Strong judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Civil/Business Litigation, Personal Injury/Medical Malpractice, Probate/Trusts & Estate Litigation, Real Estate Litigation, Family/Divorce, Criminal Law, or Appeals Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a Word document resume to Natalie at: Nsykes@naglergroup.com for immediate consideration!
