A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

- $26 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications Spanish Intake Criminal defense law Personal injury law Calendar management Law office experience Office management Legal case management Full Job Description Solo personal injury/criminal defense law firm is seeking a full-time or part-time (minimum 3 days a week) case manager/paralegal.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Bilingual preferred (Korean or Spanish preferred)
- 1+ years personal injury law firm experience (required)
- Must have working knowledge of how personal injury case is handled, from intake/pre-litigation through litigation
- Experience working with case management software (CasePeer) a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate with insurance companies, clients, attorneys, hospitals, and others;
- Assist with preparing settlement demands, discovery responses, medical chronologies, and trial binders;
- Assist with intake for new clients, as needed;
- Assist with preparing/filing legal documents, correspondence, and calendaring deadlines/meetings/depositions;
- Assist with office management and update electronic case files
Pay:
$20.00- $26.
