Job Description

Tiku & Associates, P.C. is a fast-paced, high-volume law firm serving clients across multiple areas of law. Our firm environment requires strong organization, attention to detail, diligence, efficiency, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and client service. Because of the volume and variety of matters handled by our office, our team members must be able to work efficiently while remaining accurate and thorough. Every filing, deadline, client communication, case note, document, and piece of evidence matters. We expect our staff to take ownership of their work, carefully review documents before submission, identify potential issues, and follow through on assignments without requiring constant supervision. Our attorneys and paralegals work collaboratively to ensure that cases are properly organized, deadlines are monitored, filings are completed accurately and timely, and clients receive consistent and professional communication throughout their matters. The ideal candidate for Tiku & Associates is someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, proactive, teachable, efficient, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a demanding, high-volume legal environment.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time, on-site Personal Injury Paralegal position based in Marietta, Georgia. The Personal Injury Paralegal will be responsible for supporting the attorney and managing the day-to-day progression of personal injury matters from intake through settlement, litigation, or resolution. This position requires the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accurate files, monitoring deadlines, communicating with clients and third parties, and ensuring that assigned matters continue moving forward. The paralegal will be expected to: Manage and organize a high volume of personal injury case files. Assist with new client intake and ensure that required information and documentation are properly collected. Maintain accurate and organized physical and electronic case files. Obtain, organize, and review medical records, medical bills, accident reports, photographs, insurance documents, and other evidence. Track medical treatment, outstanding records, bills, liens, and other case-related documentation. Communicate professionally with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, attorneys, courts, and other parties. Prepare and organize demand packages and supporting documentation. Assist with discovery, pleadings, correspondence, motions, notices, and other legal documents. Conduct factual and legal research as assigned. Assist with case preparation for negotiations, mediation, hearings, depositions, and trial. Monitor case deadlines, appointments, court dates, discovery deadlines, and other important dates. Follow up consistently on outstanding documents, records, responses, and assignments. Review work carefully for accuracy, completeness, formatting, and consistency before submitting it to the attorney or filing it. Identify missing information, inconsistencies, potential errors, or issues requiring attorney attention. Maintain detailed case notes and document all significant case activity. Follow established office procedures for naming, filing, scanning, uploading, and maintaining documents. Assist with maintaining an efficient workflow throughout the personal injury department. Prioritize assignments based on urgency, deadlines, attorney instructions, and client needs. Work collaboratively with attorneys and other staff members to ensure cases progress efficiently. Perform other legal and administrative duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required. At least 1-2 years of experience in personal injury law preferred. At least 2 years of experience working in a law firm environment required. Demonstrated experience providing legal support in a professional law firm setting. Familiarity with personal injury claims and litigation processes. Experience preparing and organizing legal documents and case files. Strong understanding of legal terminology and professional legal correspondence. Experience reviewing medical records, medical bills, accident reports, and supporting evidence preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage a high volume of cases and competing deadlines. Ability to prioritize urgent matters while continuing to move routine matters forward. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a legal team. Strong computer and document-management skills. Familiarity with legal case-management software is preferred. Ability to learn new software, procedures, and workflows quickly. Professional demeanor and strong client-service skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate judgment when handling sensitive client information.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree. 2+ years of experience working in a law firm environment. 1-2+ years of personal injury law experience preferred. Demonstrated legal experience involving case management, document preparation, client communication, filing, or litigation support. Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven legal environment. Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
