The Role The firm is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to support its civil litigation and local government practices. This is a hands-on role with substantial responsibility and direct attorney and client contact — not a back-office support seat.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Managing case files and docketing from intake through trial and appeal Drafting and filing pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses in Georgia state and federal courts Coordinating and tracking written discovery; organizing, reviewing, and producing document productions Managing e-discovery workflows and litigation databases Summarizing depositions, medical records, and other case materials Scheduling depositions, hearings, and mediations; coordinating with court personnel, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses Preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness files; providing trial support as needed Assisting with local government matters, including records requests, meeting and agenda materials, and municipal filings Maintaining regular client communication and keeping attorneys and clients current on case status
What We're Looking For:
3+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience; defense-side, municipal, or public entity experience is a plus Working knowledge of the Georgia Civil Practice Act and local court rules, plus federal court e-filing (CM/ECF and PeachCourt / Odyssey eFileGA) Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a full caseload across multiple attorneys and practice areas Proficiency with case management and e-discovery platforms, Microsoft Office, and document management systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable as a direct point of contact for clients Paralegal certificate or degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
Why This Role:
The firm gives its professional staff real ownership.
