About Us We are a fast-paced and client-focused personal injury law firm dedicated to helping injured individuals obtain the compensation they deserve. We are seeking a motivated, organized, and compassionate Legal Assistant to join our team and assist with the day-to-day management of personal injury cases from intake through settlement. Responsibilities Communicate with clients regarding case status, treatment updates, and document requests. Open and maintain client files in the case management system. Request and follow up on medical records, medical bills, police reports, and insurance information. Draft routine correspondence and legal documents. Assist attorneys and paralegals with case preparation and organization. Schedule client appointments, depositions, mediations, and court appearances. Maintain accurate case notes and deadlines. Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel. Prepare settlement packages and assist with settlement disbursements. Monitor and manage case tasks to ensure timely progression of files. Qualifications Prior experience in a law firm, preferably personal injury, is preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software. Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience handling pre-litigation personal injury cases. Familiarity with medical records and billing review. Experience communicating with insurance companies and healthcare providers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
