Bilingual Immigration Litigation Paralegal
Job Description
MIGRA 411
is seeking a Bilingual Immigration Litigation Paralegal to join our growing legal team. This position focuses primarily on removal defense and Immigration Court (EOIR) proceedings , including detained and non-detained cases. Prior immigration law experience is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, responsible, detail-oriented, comfortable communicating with clients, and interested in learning immigration litigation. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Primary Responsibilities Assist attorneys with cases before Immigration Courts (EOIR). Help prepare cases for Master Calendar Hearings and Individual Hearings. Conduct client intakes and follow-up interviews under attorney supervision. Communicate with clients and family members in both English and Spanish. Collect, review, and organize client documents and supporting evidence. Assist with preparation of asylum applications and other forms of relief from removal. Prepare and organize court filings, motions, exhibits, and supporting documentation under attorney supervision. Assist with detained immigration cases and bond matters. Organize evidence and exhibits for court hearings. Assist attorneys with witness and hearing preparation. Review hearing notices, court orders, and other case documents. Track court dates, filing deadlines, attorney assignments, and required follow-up. Assist with electronic filings through ECAS. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely case notes. Keep electronic case files organized and updated. Follow MIGRA 411's internal procedures, workflows, and quality-control standards. Work closely with attorneys and other members of the litigation team. Required Qualifications Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and their families. Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines. Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software and case-management systems. Ability to follow detailed procedures and attorney instructions. Dependable, responsible, and proactive. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment. Strong interest in immigration law and litigation. Previous immigration or legal experience is NOT required. Training will be provided. Preferred but Not Required Previous experience in a law firm or legal environment. Paralegal studies or legal education. Experience working with immigrant communities. Familiarity with immigration terminology or procedures. Experience with MyCase, ECAS, Microsoft Office, Adobe, or similar platforms. Prior administrative, case-management, or client-service experience. What We Offer Full-time employment. Monday-Friday schedule.
