Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies. Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision. Manage and organize case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw to ensure easy retrieval and compliance. Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, tracking case progress, and facilitating communication among team members. Handle client communications professionally via phone and written correspondence, ensuring clarity and confidentiality at all times. Perform data entry, filing, and administrative tasks including transcription, proofreading, and maintaining accurate records of legal proceedings. Assist with document review for civil litigation support and procedural law compliance while adhering to strict confidentiality protocols. Support the firm's legal administrative functions by managing schedules, preparing reports, and providing executive administrative support as needed. Experience Proven paralegal experience supporting multiple practice areas such as estate planning, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, or general litigation. Strong knowledge of procedural law across various jurisdictions with experience in civil litigation support. Familiarity with legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Experience handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills. Prior experience working with document management systems like iManage or PCLaw is highly desirable. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents; strong proofreading and transcription abilities. Effective client communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette. Knowledge of specialized areas such as UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), tribal law & regulations, patent law, securities law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law or family law is a plus but not required.
