Overview Mansfield & Mayo is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our growing civil practice. This role is well-suited for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who is comfortable supporting attorneys across a wide range of civil matters, including litigation, transactions, and estate planning. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and capable of managing multiple matters in a fast-paced, collaborative law firm environment. This position plays a critical role in keeping matters moving efficiently and ensuring exceptional client service. What You'll Do
Provide paralegal support across all stages of civil matters, including litigation, transactional work, and estate planning
Draft, organize, and manage legal documents such as pleadings, correspondence, discovery, motions, contracts, and estate planning materials
Assist with case management, including calendaring deadlines, tracking filings, and maintaining organized case files
Coordinate court filings, service of process, subpoenas, and records requests
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties
Support attorneys with trial preparation, hearings, depositions, and client meetings
Conduct factual research and assist with document review and summarization
Help ensure compliance with firm procedures, court rules, and applicable deadlines What We're Looking For
Paralegal certificate, associate's degree, or equivalent experience required
2+ years of experience working as a paralegal in a civil law practice (litigation experience strongly preferred)
Strong knowledge of civil procedure, court filings, and document management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Comfort working independently while collaborating closely with attorneys and other team members
Proficiency with standard legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Why Join Mansfield & Mayo
