Job Description

Are you an experienced paralegal with a strong background in commercial lending and legal documentation? Do you enjoy working on complex transactions while partnering with executive leadership and outside legal counsel? First Secure Bank Group is seeking a Senior Paralegal to serve as our primary resource for legal documentation oversight and legal communications related to lending activities. This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative community banking environment where your expertise will directly support sound lending practices and help protect the Bank's interests. What You'll Do Review complex commercial loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and legal sufficiency. Provide legal oversight on high-risk and complex lending transactions. Ensure loan documents accurately reflect approved credit terms and collateral requirements. Identify documentation, collateral, and legal risks before closing and recommend appropriate revisions. Serve as the Bank's primary liaison with outside legal counsel, title companies, and other legal service providers. Review organizational documents, title work, UCC filings, lien searches, and other due diligence materials. Partner with Commercial Lending, Credit Administration, Loan Operations, Compliance, and executive management. Support internal audits, regulatory examinations, and documentation quality initiatives. Monitor changes in banking laws and regulations affecting lending documentation. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Paralegal Certificate preferred. Seven or more years of experience in commercial loan documentation, legal review, or a law firm representing financial institutions. Strong knowledge of commercial, commercial real estate, construction, agricultural, SBA, and consumer lending. Experience reviewing commercial loan documentation, collateral, title work, UCC filings, and business entity documentation. Familiarity with commercial loan documentation systems such as LaserPro and core banking systems such as Jack Henry. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Community banking experience is a plus. Why First Secure Bank Group?
