Job Summary I am seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Secretary to join my legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to an attorney , ensuring smooth daily operations within a fast-paced legal environment. Your proactive approach and excellent organizational skills will help manage case files, coordinate schedules, and facilitate effective communication with clients . This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a dedicated legal practice committed to delivering exceptional service. Duties Manage and maintain legal documents, case files, and correspondence with precision and confidentiality Schedule appointments, court dates, meetings, and client consultations while coordinating calendars efficiently Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and reports using Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity software Handle incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy, directing inquiries appropriately Assist with data entry tasks including tracking case progress Support client communication by providing timely updates and responding to inquiries in a professional manner Organize filing systems both electronically and physically to ensure quick retrieval of information and compliance with record-keeping standardso Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Outlook for email management and document creation Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn new software quickly; experience with QuickBooks is a plus for managing billing or financial records Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills for front desk duties and client interactions Bilingual(Spanish)abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse client needs effectively Demonstrated clerical experience with data entry, proofreading, filing, and calendar management Knowledge of office management practices combined with technical proficiency in productivity software for optimal workflow efficiency This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting legal professionals through meticulous administrative work while providing outstanding customer service.
