Paralegal Certificate Full Job Description Overview:
The Law Office of Judy L. DeAngelis is a premier boutique real estate law firm located in Grayslake, IL, serving the Chicagoland area in transactional real estate law. Attorney Judy DeAngelis has over 35 years of experience as a real estate attorney. She and her entire staff of paralegals handle all details of the purchase and/or sale of residential real estate. We are seeking an experienced, highly organized real estate paralegal with a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience working in residential real estate to provide support to the attorney and senior paralegal. The ideal candidate will have strong experience reviewing purchase and sale agreements, including all correspondence associated with contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and track contract amendments and agreements.
  • Build and manage closing checklists and track deadlines associated with the negotiations.
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical files.
  • Collaborate with the attorney and senior paralegal throughout the entire contract review process.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in real estate law.
  • Paralegal certificate (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of real estate terminology, contracts, and closing processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple files, prioritize competing deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in case management systems (Smokeball preferred).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively manage competing priorities.
