Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

Job Title:
Paralegal Hours:
8am - 4:30pm
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience. Additional compensation available with Paralegal Certificate or Diploma.
Overview:
Rammelkamp Bradney seeks a full-time Paralegal for its Jacksonville office, focused on transactional matters such as wills, trusts, contracts and drafting estate planning documents. Applicant should have excellent writing and grammar skills and a high level of attention to detail. Rammelkamp Bradney has been providing legal services for Central Illinois region for over 130 years. This position will work directly with several attorneys in the office.
Responsibilities:
  • Drafting Legal Documents, Including Wills, Trusts, and Contracts
  • Direct Communication with Clients
  • Communicating with Other Attorneys and Staff
  • E-Filing Court Documents
  • Proofreading Legal Documents
  • Other Duties as Assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Associates Degree preferred
  • Prior law office experience preferred
  • Paralegal experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to accurately type 60 wpm and transcribe from handwritten material
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and comfortable with technology
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a pleasant and professional manner
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, writing, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, with desire to work in a fast-paced environment
