Description We are looking for a Personal Injury Paralegal to support a busy legal team in Oak Brook, Illinois on a Contract basis. This role focuses on plaintiff-side personal injury matters, including dog bite and premises liability cases, and requires someone who can keep litigation files organized while moving matters forward efficiently. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in personal injury litigation, communicates confidently with a range of stakeholders, and is comfortable working in a technology-driven environment that uses modern legal platforms and AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee plaintiff personal injury case files from initial filing through conclusion, ensuring deadlines, documents, and next steps are tracked accurately.
• Prepare, revise, and submit legal documents such as pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas, and discovery materials in accordance with court requirements.
• Arrange and manage litigation events, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and coordination with retained experts.
• Examine and organize medical records, treatment documentation, invoices, and other case-related materials to support litigation strategy.
• Develop clear medical timelines, case overviews, and trial support documents for attorney review and case preparation.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, healthcare providers, and court staff while maintaining clear and timely communication.
• Support settlement activities by assembling closing documents, tracking lien issues, and assisting with resolution-related paperwork.
• Use case management systems and AI-supported legal tools to maintain workflow efficiency and accurate file administration.

The pay range for this position is 25 to 32. Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. • At least 3 years of paralegal experience with a strong background in personal injury litigation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of plaintiff-side injury matters, including cases involving dog bites, slip and fall claims, and related tort actions.
• Practical experience handling discovery, civil litigation procedures, and trial preparation tasks.
• Proficiency with case management software and confidence working within a technology-forward legal environment.
• Ability to review complex medical and billing records and turn them into organized, usable case materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and legal professionals.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple active files simultaneously.
