About Us We are a transactional law firm in Rockford, Illinois, dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to individuals, families, and businesses. Our practice areas include estate planning, probate administration, business transactions, and related legal matters. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team and contribute to our continued success. Position Summary The Paralegal will work directly with attorneys on a variety of transactional matters, helping to ensure efficient case management and outstanding client service. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Draft legal documents, correspondence, and client communications. Assist with preparation of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments. Support probate and estate administration matters, including preparation and filing of court documents. Maintain and organize electronic and physical client files. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, financial institutions, and other third parties. Schedule appointments, meetings, and deadlines. Manage attorney calendars and track important filing and court deadlines. File legal documents with courts. Conduct legal and factual research as needed. Gather, organize, and review client information and supporting documentation. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely handling of legal documents and records. Qualifications Associate's Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent prior legal experience preferred. Experience with probate and estate planning matters is a plus. Experience with Clio, Smokeball, or similar legal practice management software is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Professional demeanor and commitment to excellent client service. Compensation Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
