Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a RegionParalegalto Support Region Counsel by coordinating legal requirements and Division submissions necessary to meet Region goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inform Region on a regular basis regarding status of transactions and anticipate next steps
  • Prepare and submit requests for approval from Region Counsel to Region/Corporate Executives on Purchase and Sale Agreements, Earnest Money Releases, Subordination Agreements, and issuance of contractual Notice of Suitability that align with the terms of the contract and are supported by financial and legal documents
  • Communicate with Divisions, outside counsel, title officers, and escrow officers regarding deadlines and Region's needs
  • Attend and host meetings with various departments in support of the Regions projects
  • Organize and maintain daily correspondence
  • Maintain Region approval workflow calendar with strict adherence to deadlines
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Regular and reliable attendance in-person
  • Store and manage project files and archives in the company's electronic filing system
  • Understand company business processes and policies to recommend necessary changes to Division and Region workflows
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Experience in acquisitions or real estate transactions strongly preferred

Benefits Salary Range:
