Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Legal Assistant/Secretary to join our professional team. This role is vital in supporting legal professionals by managing administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, and ensuring smooth office operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong technical proficiency, and a proactive approach to handling diverse responsibilities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a fast-paced legal environment, contributing to efficient case management and outstanding client service. Duties Manage and maintain attorneys' calendars, scheduling meetings, court dates, and appointments with precision and efficiency Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports using Microsoft Office Suite and word processing software Handle incoming calls via multi-line phone systems, directing inquiries professionally and courteously while providing exceptional customer support Organize and maintain filing systems—both electronic and paper—to ensure quick retrieval of case files and legal documents Perform data entry tasks accurately within legal databases such as Clio Assist with client communication by drafting emails, scheduling consultations, and managing follow-up activities Support office management functions including supply ordering, maintaining office equipment, and overseeing front desk operations Qualifications Social Security Disability experience is a huge plus. Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role within a legal or professional office environment Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with productivity software Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Demonstrated experience with data entry, filing systems, and document proofreading to ensure accuracy Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills for effective client interaction and internal coordination Join us to be part of a vibrant team. Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
