Job Description

Eviction & Collections Paralegal Herschel C. Adcock, Jr., LLC (HCA), a well-established creditor rights law firm, is seeking an experienced Eviction & Collections Paralegal to join our team. This position is responsible for managing a high-volume caseload of eviction and collections matters and working closely with attorneys, clients, courts, and other parties to ensure matters are handled accurately and timely. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to independently manage deadlines and a large volume of files. Responsibilities Manage a high-volume caseload of eviction and collections matters Prepare and process legal documents, notices, pleadings, and related correspondence Prepare and submit court filings and monitor matters through the appropriate stages of the process Track deadlines, hearings, filings, service, judgments, and other case activity Communicate with clients, courts, sheriffs, opposing parties, and other contacts as needed Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and case management records Follow up on outstanding documentation, payments, filings, and other case requirements Assist with collection matters, including demand letters, account documentation, judgments, garnishments, and post-judgment collection activity Review case information and ensure files are complete and accurate Work closely with attorneys and other team members to keep matters moving efficiently Perform other duties related to creditor rights, evictions, and collections Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in creditor rights, evictions, collections, or a related practice area Experience with Louisiana eviction procedures strongly preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage a high volume of files while meeting deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and prioritize competing responsibilities Experience with electronic filing and case management systems Proficiency with
Microsoft Office Pay:
$39,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
