We are looking for a bilingual Paralegal to join a mission-focused non-profit team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This Long-term Contract position combines client-facing support with administrative and legal coordination, offering the opportunity to assist individuals and families as they access services and navigate case-related processes. The ideal candidate brings strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly in both English and Spanish while managing sensitive information with care.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily administrative activities such as scheduling, record maintenance, document preparation, and accurate file organization for active matters. Support case coordination by updating client information, tracking next steps, and following up to help keep services and legal processes moving forward. Assist with paralegal tasks by collecting supporting paperwork, preparing forms, and assembling materials needed for case review and submission. Conduct client intake conversations, gather relevant details, and maintain complete and confidential records throughout the life of each case. Connect clients with appropriate community programs, internal services, and external resources based on identified needs. Communicate professionally with clients, partner organizations, and service providers in both Spanish and English. Monitor deadlines and documentation status to help ensure required materials are submitted accurately and on time. Contribute to special assignments and provide additional operational support related to client services and legal assistance as needed. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required for written and verbal communication. Prior experience in paralegal support, case coordination, administration, or a related setting is preferred. Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize information, documents, and competing priorities effectively. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Comfort working with confidential information and handling sensitive situations with discretion. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with case management or document management systems is preferred. Experience serving diverse or underserved communities, or knowledge of referral resources and intake processes, is a plus.
