This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned paralegal with a strong background in criminal law litigation and trial support to play an integral role in establishing and supporting the firm's Lafayette office. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive paralegal support throughout all stages of criminal litigation Assist attorneys with case preparation, discovery, pleadings, motions, and trial preparation Organize and maintain case files and documentation Conduct legal research and assist with preparing legal documents Coordinate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties Assist attorneys during trial and with other courtroom-related matters Manage deadlines, calendars, and case-related tasks Provide additional administrative and litigation support as needed Qualifications 3+ years of paralegal experience Strong experience in criminal law litigation Prior trial experience is required Strong knowledge of criminal litigation procedures and court processes Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Compensation & Benefits $50,000-$70,000 annual salary, depending on experience Twice-yearly bonuses based on firm performance 401(k) with 3% employer match Health, dental, and vision insurance Employer-provided life insurance Confidential mental health services paid for by the firm Paid vacation Paid holidays Paid sick leave Discovery, Trial Preparation, Case Management Software, Litigation, Criminal Defense Litigation, Criminal Litigation, Criminal Procedure Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
