Overview The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, including case intake, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and organizing legal documents, coordinating and managing case files, assisting with discovery requests and responses, and preparing exhibits and summaries for hearings, mediations, and trials. The role includes reviewing and analyzing documents and records, monitoring deadlines and court rules, and communicating with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner. The Litigation Paralegal will collaborate closely with attorneys and staff to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient support throughout the lifecycle of each case. Compensation commensurate with experience. Qualifications Ability to perform Legal Document Preparation, including drafting routine pleadings, motions, correspondence, and discovery materials. Experience with, including organizing, summarizing, and managing case files, records, and evidence. Experience assisting with Pleadings and Motions, including formatting, citation-checking, and filing with courts. Prior litigation paralegal or legal assistant experience in a law firm or similar setting and federal court experience preferred. Knowledge of federal and Louisiana state court procedures, filing requirements, and deadlines is helpful. Proficiency with document management tools, and standard office applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organization and time-management abilities. Ability to work on-site, manage multiple matters, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Paralegal certificate or relevant associate or bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.72 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
