A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
- Draft, edit, proofread, and prepare legal correspondence, attorney letters, court documents, and case-related materials.
- File, track, organize, and maintain legal documents, pleadings, recordings, confidential records, and physical or electronic case files.
- Manage attorney calendars, appointments, meetings, filing deadlines, and case-related schedules.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, vendors, opposing counsel, attorneys, and internal legal staff.
- Assist with billing, invoice preparation, document management, legal research, and paralegal-level support as appropriate.
- Answer and direct incoming calls while providing general administrative support to attorneys and legal personnel. Compensation and Benefits
