Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our firm for a full-time salaried position with benefits. The ideal candidate will have prior law firm experience, be highly organized, able to manage multiple cases and deadlines, and comfortable working in a fast paced litigation environment. Duties Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation from case opening through resolution or trial Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents Prepare and respond to interrogatories, request for production, and other discovery Obtain and organize medical records, bills, records and other case documentation Maintain and organize electronic case files Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counse, courts, medical providers, experts, and other parties Calendar and monitor court dates, discovery deadlines, depositions, hearings, and other important deadlines Assist with deposition, mediation, hearing, and trial preparation Review and summarize records and case documents Perform other paralegal and litigation support duties as assigned Requirements Previous paralegal or litigation law firm experience required Experience with civil litigation and/or personal injury stronly preferred Working knowledge of litigation procedures, pleadings, discovery, and court deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize assignments and manage multiple deadlines Professional and dependable Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with attorneys and other staff Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, and legal case management systems
