Responsibilities:
Type, edit, file and compose correspondence, including letters, legalmemoranda, discovery responses. Transcribe dictation and/or editshandwritten documents. Document management and organization; naming and saving to mattersto software and file. Prepare cover letters and emails. Schedule court appearances and depositions; maintain Attorneycalendars. Scan, upload and file all incoming mail. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Answer phones and screen Attorney's phone calls. Should have the ability to multi-task, prioritize work assignments and be efficient and accurate. Must have interpersonal skills and willing to assume responsibility in a proactive manner, often without being asked to do a required task. Pleasant and confident phone manner required. Ability to proofread and perform editing (e.g. punctuation, grammar, and spelling skills) of routine law office correspondence and legal documents. Commitment to "getting things right the first time" and follow-through on tasks and responsibilities.
Work Experience/Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required. This job operates in a professional office environment.
