Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

Konare Law is seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and paralegals by keeping cases organized, managing deadlines, preparing case materials, and communicating with clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Prior legal or office experience is required, and immigration experience is a plus. Responsibilities Organize and maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines. Communicate with clients and keep them updated on case progress. Assist with case preparation and trial materials. Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals. Process incoming documents and manage records. Maintain confidentiality and ensure accurate, efficient workflows. Skills Excellent verbal and written communication. Active listening. Critical thinking. Complex problem solving. Qualifications Candidate should be motivated self-starters, who is able to work independently and communicate effectively with clients and the legal team. Candidate must have a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidate should possess a demonstrated history of excellence in their career, as well as a passion for serving clients. Candidate must have excellent customer service skills. Candidate should have the willingness to cross-train for other job functions. Requirements Bachelor's Degree with one-year minimum experience in the legal field or associate degree with two years minimum experience in the legal field or HS Diploma with three years minimum experience in the legal field.
