A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to multiple attorneys in a commercial litigation practice.
- Maintain attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel.
- Draft, edit, proofread, and format legal correspondence and documents.
- Prepare pleadings and other legal documents for filing.
- Assist with state and federal court e-filings.
- Organize and maintain electronic and paper case files.
- Prepare exhibits, trial binders, and materials for hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Coordinate client communications and respond professionally to inquiries.
- Conduct conflict checks and assist with new matter setup.
- Handle confidential administrative projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of legal assistant experience supporting commercial litigation attorneys.
- Previous law firm experience required.
- Experience with state and federal e-filing.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, and calendar management.
- Experience coordinating travel and complex scheduling.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail.
- Executive support experience is a plus.
- No degree required.
