Job Description

Paralegal

We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to support contract coordination and legal operations for a healthcare organization in northern Baltimore county, Maryland. This role focuses on organizing contract workflows, conducting preliminary agreement reviews, and helping maintain accurate records throughout the contract lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to keep multiple matters moving efficiently while meeting internal compliance expectations.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the intake process for contract requests by confirming submissions include the required supporting materials before legal review begins.
  • Act as a key point of contact between business teams and legal counsel to gather information, clarify commercial terms, and keep matters progressing.
  • Track active agreements through each stage of review and share regular status updates with internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct first-level examinations of vendor and service-related contracts to identify incomplete provisions, inconsistencies, or departures from approved standards.
  • Help verify that agreements follow organizational policies and applicable compliance expectations within a healthcare setting.
  • Coordinate electronic signature routing and ensure finalized documents are stored accurately and are easy to retrieve.
  • Prepare advance reporting on renewals and upcoming expirations so teams can address deadlines without disrupting services.
  • Support the upkeep and organization of approved contract templates used for operational and clinical arrangements.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a paralegal, legal assistant, contract coordination, or similar administrative support role.
  • Working knowledge of contract review processes, including vendor and service agreements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using digital document and e-signature tools.
  • Strong proofreading and document review skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain organized records, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, long-term care, or another regulated environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare-related compliance requirements or vendor management practices is an advantage.
