Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to support litigation matters for a Contract position based in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This role will contribute to civil litigation work by organizing case materials, coordinating discovery activities, and helping prepare matters for hearings and trial. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple deadlines, maintaining accurate records in case management software, and working closely with legal teams in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
  • Manage litigation files by organizing pleadings, correspondence, evidence, and other case-related documents throughout the life of each matter.
  • Support discovery efforts by gathering records, preparing document productions, tracking requests and responses, and maintaining accurate logs.
  • Assist attorneys with trial and hearing preparation, including assembling exhibits, preparing binders, and coordinating supporting materials.
  • Maintain case information within case management software to ensure deadlines, filings, and matter updates remain current and accessible.
  • Draft, review, and format legal documents, summaries, and case-related materials for attorney review in civil litigation matters.
  • Monitor court dates and procedural deadlines while helping ensure filings and supporting documentation are completed on time.
  • Communicate with internal teams, outside counsel, vendors, and other parties to obtain information and keep case activity moving forward.
