The Maine Elder Law Firm is seeking a kind, organized, and dependable paralegal to support our attorneys, clients, and office operations in a positive, client-focused legal setting. Responsibilities
- Manage client files, caseload details, deadlines, and follow-up.
- Communicate with clients and third parties professionally and compassionately.
- Prepare, review, organize, and process legal documents and correspondence.
- Support the attorneys and other paralegals with client matters and administrative tasks.
- Track and bill time, with a goal of at least 50% billable work. What We're Looking For
- Strong computer skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and learn new systems quickly.
- Office or professional experience preferred; legal experience helpful but not required.
- Willing to learn and become well-versed in elder law and public benefit law. This is more than a clerical role.
