$50.00 Hourly Join Our Growing Legal Team We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Paralegal to support attorneys in complex tax controversy, tax litigation, federal court matters, and IRS proceedings. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has extensive experience managing litigation matters from inception through resolution. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting attorneys representing individuals, businesses, and organizations before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), U.S. Tax Court, Federal District Courts, and other federal tribunals. What You'll Do Tax Litigation & IRS Representation Assist attorneys with federal and state tax controversy matters. Prepare and organize documentation for IRS audits, appeals, collections, and investigations. Draft correspondence and legal filings related to IRS examinations and disputes. Manage large volumes of financial and tax-related records. Coordinate with clients, accountants, enrolled agents, and government agencies. Federal Court Litigation Support Prepare, file, and manage pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and court submissions. Maintain federal court calendars and litigation deadlines. File documents electronically through CM/ECF systems. Assist attorneys with trial preparation, witness coordination, and exhibit management. Conduct legal and factual research related to litigation matters. Case Management Organize and maintain case files and litigation databases. Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures. Prepare chronologies, summaries, and litigation reports. Support attorneys during hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. Qualifications Required- 5+ years of paralegal experience in litigation
- Experience with federal court procedures and filings
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes
- Exceptional organizational and case management skills
- Experience reviewing financial records, tax documents, and supporting evidence
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Foxit, and legal case management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred
- Experience in tax litigation or tax controversy matters
- Experience working directly with the IRS
- Familiarity with U.S. Tax Court procedures
- Experience preparing federal court filings through CM/ECF
