Job Description

Description Mouw & Celello, P.C. is a well-established law firm located in Iron Mountain, Michigan. We are a general law practice with a variety of cases. Our firm has been providing legal representation to clients throughout Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin for over 40 years. Our cases involve family law, probate, civil and criminal maters, personal injury, medical malpractice, Social Security Disability, business law and real estate issues. We work on multiple litigation matters at one time and day-to-day responsibilities are varied and interesting which allows legal learning to develop quickly. Our staff members and attorneys mentor and to assist in providing excellent services for our clients.
Benefits:
Hourly pay rate is based upon experience/education. Part-time position is available. Full-time position is a Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Responsibilities Assisting attorneys in communication with clients/courts/opposing counsel Monitoring daily calendars and case management Drafting documents Answering phones and scheduling appointments Assist in gathering information/evidence for cases Maintaining paper and electronic files Filing documents and scheduling with courts Qualifications Work experience as assistant, legal receptionist or paralegal preferred Computer skills, Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent organizational skills Ability to multitask and work under pressure Satisfactory knowledge of daily operation of professional or legal office Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols and court system is a plus Benefits Available for full-time employees.
